Leigh‘s practice involves advice and representation in trusts and estates (including associated taxation) and Court of Protection work. He can also advise personal representatives and other fiduciaries on the administration of digital information owned, created and used by deceased persons, trustees and persons who lack capacity in relation to their property and affairs. He advises on cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and on issues relating to Initial Coin Offerings (ICO's).

He has experience in advising on issues in offshore jurisdictions, including the Channel Islands, Hong Kong, The Bahamas, The British Virgin Islands, The Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Liechtenstein. As well as being a barrister in England and Wales, he has also been admitted as a barrister in the British Virgin Islands and as an attorney in New York, in the United States.

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) and the Society for Computers and Law (SCL). He is Chairman of the STEP Digital Assets Working Group,

He is an editor of Williams Mortimer & Sunnucks, Executors, Administrators and Probate (20th Edition). He is a contributor to the England and Wales section of the STEP Directory and Yearbook and a member of the STEP Digital Assets Working Group.
