Alison Howey was called to the Bar in July 1999 and has practised in the North East of England, on the North East Circuit since that date. She is willing to travel throughout the area, and further afield if required. Alison has divided her practice predominantly between private law children cases and public law care work, including some Magistrates' Court level criminal work. Alison is particularly interested in the area of animal law, both animal welfare and dangerous dogs matters, and researches and publishes in the subject of animal law.
Alison is willing to accept instructions in the areas of all family matters, animal related prosecutions, Magistrates' Court level crime, including road traffic cases, and low level personal injury and road traffic accident matters in the Civil Courts.
