Profile

Call: 2006
I am a fearless advocate with over 12 years of experience, practising all areas of Immigration and Asylum matters along with other such areas of law since 2006.
I was called to the Bar of England & Wales on 23 Nov 2006 by the Hon’ble Society of Lincoln's Inn as a Barrister of England and Wales and then enrolled as a Solicitor on 15 July 2014. Called to the Dhaka Bar on 30 April 1994 and later become an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. I had the privilege to sit as an Assistant Judge at the Bangladesh Judiciary.
I’ve attended several national and International conferences, mooting/debating competitions. I frequently attend TV Talk shows on social, legal/cultural affairs of the British Bangladeshi community.
My work involves all types of Immigration and asylum matters, specially with high profile, politically motivated human rights and asylum claims, where our clients are at risk, often finding themselves in highly complex circumstances. Additionally, clients’ asylum status could be under threat from a variety of possible actions such as Freezing Orders, Interpol Red Notices or Extradition.
My role involves preparing cases/strategies by carefully putting together complex arguments about why our client can’t return to their country of origin. In addition to researching case law and client’s country of origin (such as: what’s going on in the judiciary there/what’s going on commercially/what’s going on in the media/who owns the media in that particular country/what’s the state of the prisons etc). I do draft petitions, special letters, witness statements and grounds of appeal/JR. I can work with external Counsel in order to formulate a strong case.
I enjoy public speaking, advocacy and passionately believe in all aspect of law, currently practising at 12 Old Square Chambers, Lincoln's Inn, London.
