Gabor is a Civil Mediation Council Registered Mediator and an ADR Group Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator. His skills as a mediator are enhanced by his experience as a practising barrister.

Gabor’s work has three focus areas:
(1) Commercial disputes relating to contract law, company law, insolvency and debt recovery.
(2) Contentious private client matters, with an emphasis on inheritance, property and trusts.
(3) Private international law, covering issues of jurisdiction, applicable law, plus the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.

Gabor accepts instructions for, and has experience of, online mediation as well as mediation in person.

Gabor offers his services as a mediator on a fixed fee basis. For a half-day (i.e. three-hour) mediation, his fee is generally £175 plus VAT per party. For a full-day (i.e. seven-hour) mediation, his fee is usually £350 plus VAT per party. The foregoing fees apply to disputes with a value of up to £300,000, if the mediation bundle of each party is up to about 50 pages. For other cases, Gabor will provide a fixed fee quote reflecting the characteristics of the dispute.

For online mediations, Gabor is glad to arrange complimentary access for the parties to Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Alternatively, Gabor is ready to conduct online mediations using other widely available video conferencing software.

For mediations in person that have two parties, Gabor is glad to arrange a complimentary meeting room for each party in central London, at: Outer Temple Chambers, 222 Strand, WC2R 1BA. Equally, Gabor is ready to travel to a suitable mediation venue provided by the parties.

Gabor’s skills as a mediator are complemented by deep commercial and entrepreneurial experience from a 16-year career in investment management and investment banking. Before turning to law, he was a partner at Elsworthy Capital, a fund management business he co-founded. Earlier, he worked for Cheyne Capital, Dresdner Kleinwort (as it then was) and Goldman Sachs.
