I am an experienced barrister with a broad practice in civil and family law. My strengths are providing clear, practical advice to individuals and companies together with fearless advocacy in court.

Whilst I welcome instructions in a very wide range of cases, my main interests in civil law are disputes about:
1. Trusts and ownership of land.
2. Wills and probate.
3. Contracts (both between businesses and between businesses and members of the public).
4. Insolvency.

My main interests in family law are:
1. Disputes between parents and carers about their children (sometimes called “private law” cases) with particular emphasis on cases involving applications to remove a child from the UK or relocate him or her within it.
2. Financial remedy proceedings following a divorce, including “difficult” issues such as enforcement, third parties and appeals.
3. The Court of Protection.

In addition to this brief summary, I also maintain a website at which includes a fuller profile, details of significant cases, and articles about various areas of law.

I have accepted direct access work since 2014 and have represented clients on a direct access basis in a wide variety of work, from straight-forward hearings in the lower courts to complex litigation, working as part of a team with other barristers. My approach is one of flexibility: in some cases I carry out almost all the work from before the case starts until it concludes; in others I am simply instructed to represent a client at a Final Hearing or Trial.
