I am an experienced barrister with a broad practice in civil and family law. My strengths are providing clear, practical advice to individuals and companies together with fearless advocacy in court.

My main interests in civil law are disputes about:

Ownership of land (including trusts).
Wills and probate.
Contracts (both between businesses and between businesses and members of the public).
Insolvency / bankruptcy.
Charities, clubs and societies.

My main interests in family law are:

Disputes between parents and carers about where their children should live (sometimes called private law, child arrangement, residence or custody cases).
Cases where a parent or carer wishes to move abroad with a child.

Financial remedy proceedings following a divorce, including "difficult” issues such as enforcement, third parties and appeals.

In addition to this brief summary, I also maintain a website at which includes a fuller profile, details of significant cases, and articles about various areas of law.
I have accepted direct access work since 2014 and have represented clients on a direct access basis in a wide variety of work, from straight-forward hearings in the lower courts to complex litigation, working as part of a team with other barristers. My approach is one of flexibility: in some cases I carry out almost all the work from before the case starts until it concludes; in others I am simply instructed to represent a client at a Final Hearing or Trial.
Note on how to contact me:

In the past, not all messages sent to me through the Direct Access Portal have made it to me. I am very sorry about this. As a result, might I please ask any prospective clients to speak to my clerks at Thomas More Chambers either on 0207 404 7000 or to ensure the quickest and most efficient response?
