A Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Accredited Mediator and TECBAR accredited Adjudicator, Jonathan was called to the Bar in 2008 and has 29 years’ experience in the construction industry, having worked for 8 years as a contractor’s quantity surveyor and a further 10 years as a consultant specialising in all aspects of construction law. After having been in Chambers for 8 years, Jonathan recently spent 3 years as a Partner at construction specialist Solicitors, Fenwick Elliott.
Jonathan draws on this extensive range of experience and his significant knowledge and expertise in the field and practises exclusively in all matters relating to construction and engineering. His technical, commercial and professional background assists greatly in almost all facets of his practice.
Jonathan has experience of all aspects of construction and engineering disputes including claims relating to valuation/payment, defects, delay, loss & expense, and professional negligence matters. He has particular experience relating to: delay/extension of time matters; claims for loss and expense; final account matters; certification issues; disruption claims; defective work; subsidence and tree root related damage; general property damage claims; party wall matters and matters relating to the Party Wall Act; professional negligence; and negligence and nuisance claims.
