Neil was called to the Bar of Queensland, Australia in 2002 and had a successful practice. After relocating to the United Kingdom, Neil undertook the Bar Transfer Test in 2017 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2018.
Prior to relocating to the United Kingdom, Neil worked primarily as defence counsel encompassing criminal and regulatory matters. Neil is also experienced in all areas of traffic / motoring law and is available to provide advice / representation at your next court appearance.
Neil is available to represent you for breaches of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSWA) and health & safety regulations, including: construction (Design and Management) regulations; risk assessment provisions; landlord's gas safety, food hygiene and fire regulations.
He attained his NEBOSH Certificate in 2015 (National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety).
Neil has developed a civil core practice and accepts instructions in many different areas of law. Please refer to the areas of practice.
Before undertaking his law degree, Neil had a successful career in Australia as a Paramedic and in 2017 worked as a support medic in Eastern Ukraine for the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Co-Operation in Europe) - Special Monitoring Mission. His medical background is especially useful in cases involving mechanism of injury (MOI), forensic or scientific issues and medico-legal intricacies.
