William McCarthy was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in 1996 having obtained a first class honours degree and several prizes at the Inns of Court School of Law and University including the Everard Ver Heyden Prize for the joint best performance in Advocacy, the Alan Waram prize for the best dissertation, the CCH Company Law Prize and the Prize for the best overall performance in the law degree for that graduating year.
