ProfileCOVID-19 update - although we are all experiencing upheaval and uncertainty during the current health crisis, I continue to provide a range of legal services, including advice and representation in a safe and secure manner in line with recommendations by the government and the courts service. Together with many colleagues, I advise by video conferencing (Zoom or Skype) and attend hearings by video conferencing or by telephone.
Also, with many courts adjourning hearing determined 'non-urgent' such as relating to matrimonial finances or property disputes, I can assist with arranging for independent arbitrators and mediators to hold effective 'hearings' which allow cases to progress and possibly be resolved.
I recognise that for each client there is an importance and an urgency in these matters and the current public health concerns do not need to stop, stall or delay getting answers.
Now for some background about me:
I have been practicing law in Essex and London for over 25 years and welcome the opportunity of direct access clients. I am able to offer advice and assistance from the initial stages of the litigation process through to final hearings, working in collaboration with my clients to build the strongest possible case. I can also help with the more specialist or challenging elements of the litigation case, such as a particular hearing or negotiation, for clients who prefer to manage their own cases.
I have particular specialisation in family law and cohabitation disputes, which includes property disputes (including under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996) and financial remedy matters as well as Children Act proceedings. So, if you have had issues with an ex partner or ex spouse about:
- ownership of your home
- resolution of your finances following separation
- child care and contact issues
then please feel free to contact me to discuss how I can assist you to resolve the problems.
I also work with employment and discrimination cases, including discrimination on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation, disability and age.
