I practise in all areas of intellectual property and technology litigation, with particular expertise in disputes involving the Internet and computer technology. I am a member of 8 New Square, the leading specialist intellectual property Chambers, and previously practised as a commercial solicitor in Australia.

I can advise at any stage of a dispute, from giving preliminary advice to representing your interests in court or mediation. I have also provided early neutral evaluation services to parties who wish to avoid litigation. (Please note that your inquiry must be suitable for direct access instructions before I can properly agree to act for you.)

I hold a doctorate in law from the University of Oxford, and previously graduated with the top first in law from the University of Melbourne. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science. My PhD research examined the liability of internet intermediaries for online wrongs. While at Oxford, I lectured in copyright, contract and trusts law.

I have substantial experience running and advising start-up companies.

I am the author of The Liability of Internet Intermediaries (2015, Oxford University Press, forthcoming).
