Eleanor has successfully developed and established a busy Common Law
practice with particular emphasis in Family Law as well as issues between
Landlord and Tenant.  She represents a range of litigants from individuals
involved in family disputes to companies. Eleanor is happy to advise both on
paper and by telephone and is also authorised to accept work on a direct access

Eleanor is successfully developing her matrimonial finance practice and
has represented clients in cases involving high value pensions, companies,
trusts and foreign assets and has undertaken work on behalf of Applicants and
Respondents, including those in civil partnerships.  Eleanor has also been
instructed to advise on cases Schedule 1 CA 1989 cases concerning provision for

Recently Eleanor has spoken at seminars in relation to the recent case
law in relation to pre-nuptial agreements.


Eleanor is regularly instructed on behalf of parents, children and
grandparents in relation to complex private law disputes.  She has
particular experience of cases concerning serious domestic violence including
kidnapping and sexual abuse, parties with mental health issues and applications
for removal from the jurisdiction.  She also has experience of complex
cases involving Wardship claims with an international aspect, hostile parents
and applications for enforcement.


Eleanor accepts instructions on behalf of the Local Authority, parents,
guardian and interveners.  She is frequently instructed in matters that
involve complex issues and has experience of cases involving non-accidental
injuries including limb fractures and burns and allegations of sexual abuse.


Eleanor regularly represents both landlords and tenants in matters of
leases and contracts and other real property related disputes in the Leasehold
Valuation Tribunal and in the Civil Courts.


Eleanor has advised and represented individuals and companies on general
contractual law matters such as breach of contract, misrepresentation and the
Unfair Contract Terms Act.  She accepts instructions on behalf of
Claimants and Defendants in the County Court.


Eleanor has a particular interest in Regulatory work and is developing a
broad practice. She is frequently instructed by the Nursing and Midwifery
Council on cases before the Health Committee and Fitness to Practice Panel.
Eleanor accepts instructions to appear at interim and substantive hearings
alike, and is happy to advise on paper or via the telephone if appropriate.
