John has been working as a lawyer since 1983 initially as a solicitor and since 2006 as a barrister specializing in Family Law and regulatory matters involving Ofsted.

As a solicitor he was a partner at Messrs Jones Myers and Levi and Co and an Associate at Messrs Walker Morris. He was a member of the Law Society Children Panel from 1995-2006, a member of the Ofsted legal panel 2003-2006 and a member of his teams Child Abduction Panel 1999-2006.

John has been married for 27 years with three children.

He has acted for Ofsted themselves and now represents child minders ,child day care providers , children care homes and children centres on compliance issues , restrictions and cancellations of registrations. He represents providers at Tribunals and in making representations to Ofsted.

He has been described as ‘a well-respected member of the local bar who goes out of his way to assist instructing solicitors and lay clients alike. Clients are put at ease by his empathetic and approachable manner and are immediately assured by his detailed preparation in both his written work and court based advocacy.
