My work is almost exclusively focused on defending people in The Crown Court and Court of Appeal. However, I also regularly defend people charged with motoring or other offences in the Magistrates Court, on a direct access basis.

Although I am appointed to the panel of Prosecutors at the highest grade, in fact, I very rarely prosecute.

I have defended in some of the highest profile trials in recent years, notably that involving the principal Defendant accused of the Murder of Rhys Jones in Liverpool and those of Dennis Slade, accused of conspiring with others to commit Murder and Robbery in Leeds.

I am frequently instructed to conduct Appeals to the Crown Court concerning Firearms and Shotgun Certification revocations and recently, I have assisted many clients successfully challenge such decisions.

I sit part-time, as a Judge in the Mental Health Tribunal in England and also in Wales.

Please visit my Chambers profile, which provides further details of my experience and in order to provide a flavour of my practice, includes brief details of some of the cases that I have appeared in. This can be viewed by following the link below:

If you feel that I would be able to help you with any problem, please do not hesitate to contact me and I promise to provide an initial response (by e-mail) within 24 hours.
