Whilst Andy enjoys a diverse practice covering Housing, Administrative & Public Law, Health & Social Care, Property and Local Authority Governance & Services, it is his work for social landlords which has informed his practice direction and profile.

Andy was called to the Bar in 1999 having spent over 10 years working in the statutory and voluntary sector in the field of housing, debt and benefit advice. He has spent time on a local authority as a councillor, and held a number of portfolios during that time. This background has meant that Andy is very approachable, comfortable in a variety of settings and able to articulate his advice and case in a manner that is both attractive and compelling.

He works primarily for local authorities and housing associations, although has, particularly in relation to private rented sector licensing, advised and represented private landlords' associations.
