As an experienced family law practitioner, Claire provides clients with advice prior to a legal action, and manages the day-to-day advocacy required to prepare and manage ongoing actions.

She often finds herself advising and helping clients in crisis situations, where the factors involved may include serious sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, emotional harm and neglect. Much of her work is related to the Children Act, conducting care and adoption cases on
behalf of Local Authorities, parents, grandparents and guardians, where issues like poor parenting skills may arise from mental illness, or drug and alcohol dependency.

Among the sensitive issues which Claire has to deal with on a regular basis are the custody of children, contact and access rights, marital disputes and domestic violence, protection from harassment and financial provision for children, particularly among low and middle-income
