Profile

Summary: Affordable, Fast, Efficient & Approachable Written Advice & Drafting Work (claims, defences, letters etc). Quick turnaround offered on request. Also advice by telephone conference (depending on availability).

Background: I am a commercial, property and employment barrister with over 17 years experience in a wide range of civil and commercial disputes, with considerable experience in the County Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, Lands Tribunal, Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. I can advise and assist you on a variety of legal issues and provide clear, concise, to the point written advice on both legal and procedural issues, and draft claims, defences, counter claims, applications, consent orders/tomlins and other court forms. I can also help you with non contentious (non litigation) issues such as drafting employment contracts, director's service contracts, employee settlement agreements (formerly compromise agreements) and shareholder agreements.

For my work, I have been consistently recognized as a 'Leading Individual' by the independently researched Legal 500 UK i.e. I have been described by solicitors and clients as (a barrister) "who is not afraid to tackle difficult issues" (2013), is "an effective tribunal advocate" (2014), who "cuts through difficult issues without fence sitting" (2015) and who can undertake a wide range of cases (2016). I am also a member of an award winning Barristers Chambers.

I am happy to deal with questions and queries by email and to provide advice and draft documents by email too. A telephone conference can be arranged where necessary. This also means that I have low overheads and so can provide you with very competitive fees. All fees are agreed and paid in advance and so there are no surprise bills or additional costs for a piece of work. This means that you keep control of the budget.

NB. I am always happy to review a letter of instruction or papers free of charge to provide you with a clear estimate of the cost involved before progressing the work any further. All questions and queries welcome. It can be daunting to instruct a barrister for the first time and my intention is to make this process as easy as possible for you.
