Ummar practiced is a solicitor from 2013 to 2018 when he transferred to the Bar. He has experience in a range of family law matters, including child arrangements, abduction, wardship, care proceedings and matrimonial finances. He has represents both private clients and those receiving Legal Aid.

Completed his training contract at TV Edwards LLP, a leading reputable Legal 500 regional firm, where he qualified in 2013. Thereafter he worked for two further Legal 500 firms.

Child abductions and wardship matters, including Dols;
Forced marriage and FGM matters;
Divorce and matrimonial finance cases;
Public Law matters including issues such as Fabricated or Induced Illness, Non-Accidental Injury, special guardianship and adoptions; and
Private Law proceedings including Child Arrangement Orders, Prohibited Steps and Specific Issue Orders and Non-molestation Orders.
