I am an experienced barrister, practising in areas of civil and family law. In addition to my practice as a barrister, I am a qualified civil and commercial mediator.

As an experienced common law barrister, I regularly act on behalf of parties involved in property and housing related disputes, family disputes (including international disputes) and sports disputes. I conduct my work from Thomas More Chambers, where enquiries may also be made directly as to my availability and suitability of your case for direct access.

I have experience of representing parties in the following areas of family law:

• International child disputes (including removal from the jurisdiction and relocation)
• Applications under the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008
• Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders
• Co-habitation disputes (including TOLATA claims)


Landlord and Tenant

I routinely advise landlords, tenants and owner occupiers in possession proceedings. I am able to advise in relation to proceedings involving both public and private sector landlords, as well as mortgage repossession claims. I am experienced in property guardianship claims, as well as trespasser claims.

I regularly act in a range of property disputes, including:

• Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act applications (TOLATA)
• Residential possession proceedings
• Disrepair
• The appointment of Law of Property Act Receivers
• Adverse possession
• Business leases (including renewals and forfeiture)
• Party Wall Act disputes
• Leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions
• Easements

Sport

I have experience of sports disputes involving athletes and governing bodies, including selection disputes, anti-doping, child protection, and other regulatory aspects of amateur and professional sports. I have previously adjudicated disputes on behalf of a major national governing body.

What sort of work do I do?

I undertake court representation, drafting and preparing of legal documents, and provide written and verbal advice.

Who do I work for?

I represent a variety of clients, from large commercial organisations, to individuals involved in low value disputes. In relation to my family work, I typically represent individuals.
