In addition to 14 years in crime, I spent five years in the British Army advising on international criminal law, human rights, and the domestic and overseas application of the Human Rights Act

Five years in the British Army advising on the sorts of issues which routinely arise in inquests and inquiries - deaths in custody, use of force, alleged abuse by military personnel overseas, police and military misconduct etc
